March 12 Robb and Mary’s church has a dinner every Wednesday evening all winter. Robb is on a volunteer cook crew a couple times a month. Today was the last dinner of the year and I went with Robb to help cook. We spent about six hours preparing 140 tortilla deep fried baskets, pealing, slicing and grilled onions, cleaned and slicing green peppers, chopping lettuce, grilled and sliced fajita steak, cooking taco flavored hamburger meat. The taco salads were delicious. I deep-fried about 300 sopapillas for desert. We fed about 125 people. Sorry I didn’t start helping earlier. I’m looking foreward to it next year.
